0

Online fashion marketplace Secret Sales is entering Belgium and the Netherlands with dedicated online shops. The websites will be managed by a local team in the Netherlands. It’s the first step in the company’s planned European expansion.

Secret Sales was acquired by Lifestyle Retail Group in March 2020, since then it relaunched from being a members-only flash sales website to a dedicated outlet marketplace. It offers remaining stocks from over 1.600 clothing brands to consumers. Brands ship the order to customers from their own warehouses.

‘The company raised €10 million in 2021.’

According to the company, at least 31 million unique users visited the UK website. It currently has 6.7 million registered users in its home market. Last year, the company raised 10 million euros to improve data mining capabilities and expand internationally. Now, it is making the first step with a launch in Belgium and the Netherlands.

460 international and regional brands

Customers can now find 450 international and regional brands on the new websites, which are managed by a local team in the Netherlands. According to the company, it has 700 million euros worth of stock available on both sites. Shoppers will get free shipping and a 60-day return period for their purchases.

‘Secret Sales wants to expand to 12 more European countries.’

The launch in Belgium and the Netherlands is the first step in the company’s planned European expansion. It wants to expand to 12 more European countries, with 4 other launches planned this year. Which countries will be next, is unknown.
